How we use AI.
AI helps with routine work here. AI never decides on its own. A person approves anything the assistant is unsure of. A person approves anything that commits us to you.
Effective date: 13 August 2026.
Where AI sits in what we build.
We build websites, and we build automation. Some of that automation uses AI.
AI answers routine questions. Opening hours and directions are two examples.
AI drafts a reply for a person to send. AI sorts enquiries and routes each one to the right person.
AI also gathers information into one place. A person then checks that information.
A person approves anything that matters.
The assistant does not act alone on anything that counts.
A person approves anything the assistant is unsure of.
A person also approves anything that commits the business. A price, a promise, a booking change or a cancellation all need a person.
Anything with a legal or money consequence needs a person too.
No machine decides about a person on its own.
Some decisions land on a person directly. A job application is one example. A refund is another.
Section 71 of POPIA covers decisions made only by automatic means. POPIA limits those decisions.
We do not build automation that makes those decisions alone. A person makes the decision. Our privacy notice says the same thing.
Your information answers your own customers.
Say we build an assistant for your company. That assistant reads your information.
Your information is used to answer your own customers. Your information is not used to train a general model.
That is a commitment, not a hope. We use one client's information for that client's work only.
Your customers' details are handled the way POPIA expects. Our privacy notice sets out the detail.
An assistant can be wrong, so a person checks.
We would rather say this plainly. An AI assistant can get something wrong.
That risk is the reason a person checks the work.
We set the assistant to admit when it does not know. The assistant then hands the question to a person. Guessing is not the fallback.
Tell us when the assistant gets something wrong. We fix the cause, not just the reply.
Where the work happens, and who else is involved.
AI providers are other companies. Those companies process information on our behalf.
Some of that processing happens outside South Africa. Section 72 of POPIA covers information that leaves the country.
Our privacy notice lists the providers that can touch personal information. That list sits in one place on purpose.
We name the AI provider for your project before the work starts.
How we use AI in our own work.
We use AI in our own work as well. Saying so is better than staying quiet about it.
AI helps us write code. AI helps us draft text.
A person reviews everything before anything goes live.
These legal pages were drafted with AI help. A person reads every line before a page goes live.
You choose how much automation you want.
Automation is a choice, not a condition of working with us.
You can turn a feature down. You can turn a feature off.
You can keep a path where only a person replies. We will build that path.
Tell us at the start, or tell us later. Either is fine.
What we will not do.
We do not hide the assistant. We tell your customer when a reply comes from an assistant.
We do not scrape personal information to train anything.
We do not let a machine decide about a person alone.
We do not sell your information, and we never will.
This document explains how we work. It is not legal advice, and it does not replace advice from your own attorney.
Ask us how this would work for you.
Are you checking a supplier before you sign? Bring your questions to a call. We answer plainly, and in writing when you need that.
