The real cost
Staff are doing a computer’s work.
Every hour of that work is paid for. The list below is where the hours go.
- Staff spend the day on work a computer should be doing. They answer the same question, type the same booking and chase the same quote.
- An enquiry arrives at nine at night. Nobody reads that enquiry until Monday. By Monday the customer has phoned somebody else.
- One supplier built the website. Another supplier built the booking system. When something breaks, each supplier blames the other supplier.
- You change a closing time on Monday. Somebody then types the new time into the website, the diary and the Google listing. On Saturday the Google listing still shows the old time.
