Website terms of use.

These terms cover this website. Use this website, and you accept these terms. Client work is different. Client work runs on a quote and an agreement in writing, signed by both sides.

Effective date: 13 August 2026.

This document explains how we work. It is not legal advice, and it does not replace advice from your own attorney.

Who runs this website.

This website is run by Leo Liebenberg, trading as Trevern Technologies.

Trevern is a sole proprietorship. There is no separate company here, and no registration number. One person trades under the name Trevern Technologies.

We build websites, AI and automation for companies and groups. We are based in Cape Town, South Africa.

Our address is 1 Burton Road, Aurora, Durbanville, Cape Town, 7550, South Africa.

Email hello@trevern.com about anything on this page. You can also call +27 69 154 0753.

These terms apply to everyone who uses the site.

These terms apply to every visitor. Please read this page before you use the site.

Carry on using the site, and you accept these terms. Do these terms not suit you? Then please stop using the site.

Nobody has to sign anything for these terms to apply. Using the site is enough.

What this website is, and what it is not.

This website does two things. The site describes the work we do. The site also gives you a way to send us an enquiry.

Nothing on this site is an offer you can accept. No price is published here either. So no page on this site can create a deal by itself.

Work starts with a written quote. We scope the job, then we put one fixed price in writing. That quote and the agreement with it set the terms of the work.

Want those terms before you commit? Ask us on a call, and we will send them. Start on our contact page.

We keep the site accurate, and the site is still not the agreement.

We keep this website accurate and current. We correct a mistake as soon as we find one.

Even so, the site describes our work in general terms. General terms cannot cover the detail of a real job.

So this website forms no part of any agreement. The signed quote and agreement carry the detail. Where the two differ, the signed documents win.

The words, design and code here belong to Trevern.

The text on this site belongs to Trevern. So do the design, the code, the photographs and the Trevern name and logo.

What you may do. Read the site. Print or save a page for your own use. Link to any page from anywhere. Quote a short passage, and say where the passage came from.

What you may not do. Do not republish our pages. Do not copy our text or our code onto another site. Do not sell any part of this site. Do not present our work as yours.

Want to reuse something? Ask us first. Email hello@trevern.com and tell us what you need.

Client work is the opposite, on purpose. What we build for a client belongs to that client. The website, the code and the automation are all theirs. We do not hold a client's work hostage.

That is unusual in this trade, so it is worth saying here. The signed agreement sets out how the handover works. This page does not change that agreement.

How this website may be used.

Use this website in a normal and lawful way. That is the whole rule, and most people never think about it.

A few things are out of bounds. Do not try to break into the site. Do not disrupt the site for other people. Do not send us malware through the form. Do not use the form to send bulk marketing.

We may block access if the site is being abused. We report serious abuse to the authorities.

Do we host a website or an automation for you? Then the rules for that system sit on our acceptable use page.

We link to other websites, and those sites are not ours.

We link out to other websites now and then. A tool, a law, or a source is a common reason.

Those websites belong to other people. We do not control what those websites publish or collect. So we are not responsible for them.

A link is not a promise about the other site. Read that site's own terms and privacy notice.

The site is provided as it is.

We try to keep this website up and working. We cannot promise the site is never offline.

Hosting, networks and maintenance all cause downtime. Sometimes the cause sits with a supplier, not with us.

So this website is provided as it is. We may change a page, move a page, or take a page down at any time.

What we are responsible for, and what we are not.

We write this site carefully. Even so, please do not base a decision on this site alone. Ask us, and get the answer in writing.

We are not liable for a loss that follows from using this website. Lost profit, lost time and lost data are examples.

This section covers the website only. Our work for a client is covered by the signed agreement instead.

South African law sets limits on a section like this one. Nothing here removes a right the Consumer Protection Act gives a consumer. Nothing here limits liability that the law says we may not limit.

We also make no attempt to excuse our own dishonesty. Nothing on this page protects us from that.

Privacy and cookies have their own pages.

Our privacy notice explains what personal information we collect, and why. The notice also covers your rights under POPIA.

Our cookies page explains what this site stores on your device. There is less of it than you expect.

Both pages are written in plain language, the same way as this one.

Our details, in one place.

Section 43 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 lists what an online supplier should tell you. This website sells nothing and takes no payment. So that section does not bind this website.

We follow the standard anyway, because the standard is a fair one. Here are the details it asks for.

South African law applies.

The laws of South Africa govern these terms. The courts of South Africa deal with any dispute about them.

That holds wherever in the world you read this page.

Is one part of these terms found to be invalid? The rest of the terms still stand.

If these terms change, the change is obvious on this page.

We may update these terms. A new page, a new tool, or a change in the law is a normal reason.

The updated terms apply from the effective date at the top. That date moves when the terms move.

We will not quietly weaken this page. A change that matters will be plain to see here.

Talk to a person about the work.

This page covers the website. Your own project runs on a quote and an agreement in writing. A short call is the fastest way to get there.

Tell us what the work looks like. We scope it, then we put one fixed price in writing.
